Origin are a band from Kansas that plays a very technical and brutal form of death metal with touches of groove and grindcore and this is a review of their 2017 album "Unparalleled Universe" which was released by Agonia Records.
A very fast and brutal sound along with a great amount of blast beats starts off the album along with some technical guitar solos and leads which also leads up to death metal growls and screams being added into the music and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording.
Throughout the album you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and some of the riffs also mix in elements of grindcore while also adding a decent amount of melody and grooves into the riffing and clean playing can also be heard at times and one track also adds in a few seconds of operatic vocals while the main focus is mostly on a heavy and brutal style and one of the tracks is very long and epic in length.
Origin creates another recording that remains true to the brutal and technical style of death metal from previous releases, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover misanthropy, death and esotericism themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from Origin and if you are a fan of this band, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Accident And Error" "Truthslayer" "Burden Of Prescience" and "Revolution". 8 out of 10.
