Nominon/Monumentomb/DeathGasm Records/2010 CD Review

Nominon are a band from Sweden that has been around since the early 90's that plays an unholy form of Swedish death metal and this is a review of their 2010 album "Monumentomb" which was released by DeathGasm Records.

Drums are very fast with alot of blast beats that are very brutal mixed in with some ocassional slow to midpaced beats, while the bass playing is all rhythm bass that follows the riffs coming out of the guitars and they also have a very powerful sound of their own at times.

Rhythm guitars are fast Swedish style death metal riffs that contain a small amount of melody with some slow to midpaced riffing, while the lead guitars are very distorted sounding solos that have an evil sound that brings chaos to the music.

Vocals are a mixture of high pitchrd screams and deep death metal growls, while the lyrics touch on the darker side of the Vedic religion mixed with some left hand path and hateful themes, as for the production on this album it sounds very professional and you can hear all of the instruments that are present on this recording.

In my opinion Nominon are a very talented death metal band, and if you are a fan of brutal and evil Swedish death metal you should check this band out. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Archfiend" "Mantra Reverse" "Omen" and "Wrath Of Shiva". RECOMMENDED BUY.
