Burden Of Grief/Follow The Flames/Massacre Records/2010 CD Review

Burden Of Grief are a band from Germany that plays melodic death metal in the Gothenburg vien and this is a review of their 2010 album "Follow The Flames" which was released by Massacre Records.

Drums mix slow, midpaced and fast drumming together with some blast beats being used on ocassion mixed in with some tribal drums, while the bass playing is all rhythm bass that follows the riffs that are coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars are mostly fast death metal rhythm that use some midpaced riffing that has some thrash influences and a good amount of melody, while the lead guitars are very talented and bring in alot of melody in the guitar solos with alot of classical metal influences being thrown in.

Vocals are high pitched melodic death metal screams with some deep growls thrown in with some clean singing vocals being used on some of the cover songs that are included on the bonus cd that comes with this album, while the lyrics cover illness, death, sorrow and pain, as for the production it has a very professional sound which gives all of the instruments a good sound.

In my opinion Burden Of grief are a very good melodic death metal band that all fans of this subgenre will probably enjoy. RECOMMENDED TACKS INCLUDE "Born In Fire" "Disruption Of A Confused Mind" "Fallen" and "Hell Aint A Bad Place To be" which is an AC/DC cover. RECOMMENDED BUY
